Never-before-heard music from Aaliyah is definitely coming, said Timberland. Fourteen years after the R&B superstar died, her rapper/producer collaborator announced plan to share her unreleased material with the world.
"Attention!!!!! People ask me all the time do I have any babegirl music we haven't heard !!!!!well the answer is YES!!!!!!!! TIMBO x BABEGIRL !!!!!" Timbo said on Saturday, August 8 in a caption for a picture of Aaliyah. He further teased the late singer's upcoming music, "Sneak peak coming !!!!!!!"
Aaliyah debuted in 1994 with the album "Age Ain't Nothing But a Number". She died in August 2001 in a plane crash when she was on a trip to the Bahamas to shoot a music video for her song "Rock the Boat".
The last Aaliyah album was released posthumously in 2002. A little over a decade after her death, Drake announced in 2012 that he was working with producer Noah "40" Shebib on an Aaliyah record. The project was eventually canceled following numerous backlashes.
