Dr. Luke has
responded to Kelly Clarkson's not-so-nice comments about him. Following the
former "American Idol" winner's interview with an Australian radio
show, in which she claimed she was forced to work with the producer on some of
her biggest hits, Luke denied the allegations by sharing an excerpt from Sony
Music chief creative officer Clive Davis' 2013 memoir "The Soundtrack of
My Life".
As
previously reported, Clarkson and Luke worked together on "Since You Been
Gone" and "Behind the Hazel Eyes", but she said in the radio
interview that the collaborations only happened because she was
"blackmailed" by her label. She personally didn't like the
42-year-old musician, saying he's "not a good person" and they'd
"clashed."
Digital Spy
then contacted Luke's rep, who replied to their request for comments with the
excerpt detailing how Clarkson and Luke got to collaborate. It opened with
Davis writing how Clarkson recorded "Breakaway", saying she initially
refused to sing the song that went on to become a top 10 hit.
