Leicester City Closes in on First EPL Title….

Arsene Wenger conceded Arsenal’s defence was too weak in the air during their 3-3 draw at West Ham.

Andy Carroll struck a hat-trick, including two headers, which put West Ham 3-2 up after falling 2-0 behind, before Laurent Koscielny stole a point for Arsenal – a result which put a huge dent in their title ambitions.

The draw, plus Leicester City’s 2-0 win over Sunderland, left Wenger’s side 13 points off the league leaders with six games left in their season.

Liverpool Daniel Sturridge striker marked his return to Liverpool’s starting XI with a goal in the comprehensive 4-1 Premier League win over Stoke City on Sunday.

Sturridge was left on the bench for last Thursday’s Europa League quarter-final first leg at Borussia Dortmund, but responded with an excellent all-round performance and the crucial second goal as Liverpool swept Stoke aside after Bojan Krkic had equalised Alberto Moreno’s early opener at Anfield.

Newcastle were lucky that there were three teams worse than themselves last season. This season it does not look like they will get that lucky. The Magpies are currently odds of 1/16 to be relegated and those odds are very fair at the moment.

Newcastle would need to improve immensely in their next few games and hope that Norwich fail to pick-up points as well. It seems that the Canaries are the only team above any of the bottom three that they can realistically catch-up to this season.
Aston Villa are all but relegated from the Premier League after losing 2-1 at home to AFC Bournemouth on Saturday.

Crystal Palace’s 1-0 victory over Villa’s relegation rivals Norwich City means Eric Black’s side can still mathematically survive, but they showed few signs of fight as they were beaten by goals from Steve Cook and Joshua King.

Newcastle United lurched a step closer to relegation from the Premier League with their ninth consecutive away defeat, a 3-1 loss at Southampton on Saturday.
Rafael Benitez’s men travelled to St Mary’s Stadium in desperate need of a result after last weekend’s dramatic 3-2 reverse at Norwich City left them six points adrift of safety.

(LWDDW) Chelsea Vs Man City (WWLDW)
Previous matches between Chelsea and Man City
Matches Played: 40. Chelsea Win: 22. Draw: 7. Man City Win: 11
City travel to meet Chelsea at Stamford Bridge as the season enters the final few weeks.
The top two from 2014/15 meet for the second time in 2015/16 with only a few games left and Manuel Pellegrini will want to make sure that it is sky blue that triumphs in West London.
It finished all square between the two sides in the capital in January 2015, with David Silva equalising in first half injury time to give City the point their display more than merited.
Chelsea have won just one of their last seven Premier League home games, drawing the other six.
Manuel Pellegrini's side have lost just one of their last seven Premier League away matches (W3 D3 L1).
Am sticking with Over 2.5 Goals here, Chelsea will be depending and experimenting with their youngsters again. I see both teams scoring.

My Verdict: Chelsea 2:2 Man City
